Goodbye to The Red Door

New England (and by extension, North America) is losing another seminal nighlife venue. Portsmouth, NH, is an unlikely place to find quality dance music, but for well over a decade The Red Door has filled that niche. On top of a rotating lineup of some of the area's best locals, the little club-that-could also threw parties with heavyweights like Mark Farina, Danny Howells, Fred Everything, and Juan Maclean, amongst others.

I'm thankful for the 10+ years I had playing 4-hour sets at The Red Door. It's been such a special oasis for me and many others. Countless friendships formed, espresso martinis consumed, smiles (and bass-faces) generated. We're going to miss it.

Never-ending thanks to the infinitely-talented and forever-chill Ryan Obermiller for keeping things so proper there for so long. Best of luck with your next projects - enjoy the freedom and inevitable growth!
