Jack Dept. is a monthly party at Brooklyn's Bossa Nova Civic Club started by my longtime homies Volvox and John Barera. We share a lot in common from our Boston days, including residencies at Thursday weekly Make It New as well as regular DJ sets at my old club RISE Afterhours.

Goodbye to The Red Door

New England (and by extension, North America) is losing another seminal nighlife venue. Portsmouth, NH, is an unlikely place to find quality dance music, but for well over a decade The Red Door has filled that niche. On top of a rotating lineup of some of the area's best locals, the little club-that-could also threw parties with heavyweights like Mark Farina, Danny Howells, Fred Everything, and Juan Maclean, amongst others.

I'm thankful for the 10+ years I had playing 4-hour sets at The Red Door. It's been such a special oasis for me and many others....
