My home away from home...!
4 hours of who-knows-what, culminating in sweat and movement.
Gary Beck is one of the most highly regarded DJ/producers worldwide - period. He headlines the biggest festivals, releases original productions on the most respected labels, and remixes the most famous artists... all around, he dominates. When he played at RISE in 2013, it was one of the craziest parties I can remember ever happening at RISE. Needless to say, I'm very happy to be working with Toxic Entertainment to bring him back, and this time to be sharing the decks with him.
1am - 6am, late Wednesday night into Thursday. Dance all night so you're nice and hungry for Turkey dinner the next day. :)
Back to the pearl of The Granite State for another 4 hours of deep, groovy, melodic, saucy dance music.
There's a reason everyone who plays at The Red Door raves about it, and the dance floor is always bumping...
I'm turning 34! Whoopdie-fuggin-do. In a showing of defiance of age-related apathy, I'll be dropping 5 hours of heat in the mainroom at RISE with my main-man Kike Mayor . Deep early, techy middle, unforgiving latenight. Hang till the end, see just how weird things can get.
The Fractaltribe team are about as passionate as they come. They're known for throwing crazy psy parties, with beautiful deco & great DJs. For them, it's all about a unique, immersive, and memorable experience... not just great DJs sets.
That said, I'm really only responsible for the music, and I LOVE playing for these guys. Their audience is so receptive and open-minded. They espouse the unity that dance music was always intended to inspire. Needless to say, I can't wait for this one.
I love The Red Door. Anything goes, really... that is, until 11:30 rolls around and the spot jams out. Then I beat it up and people dance like maniacs.
Make It New turns 10 this October. Holy crapola, that's a serious run for a weekly! I love MiN... it's where I go when I want to live out the scenario described in Peace Divison's "Club Therapy."
The guys at MiN have asked me to help them kick off their anniversary month (which later-on will see guest performances from heavy-hitters like Breach and Tiga). Obviously I graciously accepted their invitation.
Join us this Thursday, 10pm - 2am. Free before 11pm, $5 after. House & techno to agitate your blisters.
RISE is my home. Has been for 10 years. It won't be forever, so I'm going to do my everything in my power to make every party count.
Fresh tracks? Obviously. Unreleased? Sure. But anything is fair game this time around, so don't be surprised if I play some tracks that are older than some of the kids on the dancefloor.
I love The Red Door. No club like it, especially in New Hampshire.
Dance Free or Die.
I DJ one Saturday every month at The Red Door. It's the only spot in Portsmouth where you can hear proper house music (on a crisp, warm sound system no less).
It's my pleasure to be your selector.
Dance with us under the open sky to benefit Boston Children's Hospital!
This benefit has been organized by Providence DJ Danielle Dimond, and will surely draw a nice crowd to this sweet outdoor party spot. Let's get together and have some fun for a great cause.
Dancing on the Charles is an institution around these parts. Can't imagine a more fun outdoor jam to be involved with this summer. I'm excited for this one for sure!
Following DOTC, SoundScape hosts the after-party JULIAN JEWEIL @ RISE. This guy is one of my favorite producers at the moment. Just trust.
Back up to New Hampshire to get down with one of the most consistantly fun crowds I've found anywhere.
Red Door, I love you.
It's the 5th of July! That's a holiday somewhere, right? Well, we're going to celebrate it right at RISE, with four of my favorite local homies joining me.
So often, when I'm programming parties at RISE, I'm thinking about everything EXCEPT what's going to make me personally happy. Well, not on this night. It's all about me and my friends. And quite franky, we're each other's harshest critics, so be ready for a group of seasoned DJs showing up with their A-game. I can't wait.
Portsmouth in the summer is a special experience. Quinticential New England.
Come up early for dinner & drinks at The Docks, then head over to TRD for 4 hours of house music from yours truly. I never really know what's going to transpire when I play here, but that's half of the fun.
This year marks the 2nd [now] Annual UNITY PRIDE ENVY Boston Harbor cruise, during PRIDE weekend in Boston.
Last year's party was a crazy success.... amazing music, a boat packed with people dancing, and top notch sound. This year will be no different.
There's something special about dancing under the night sky with the backdrop of our beautiful skyline. Do yourself a favor and join us.
06:30 pm: BOARDING
07:30 pm: DEPARTURE
11:00 pm: RETURN
This week, it's all about locals. Avicii all night long.
April showers bring May flowers... and house music at New Hampshire's best venue for underground music & tight sound.
So many new choons to share. Ready for this!
I love The Red Door. The sound system bumps, people are down with house music, and everyone dances & has a great time. I couldn't really ask for anything more from a residency.
Dance free or die!
The Rounds are my homies Steve and Tim. I've known them since high school, and can confirm that they are the shit.
They're throwing a record release party for their new EP. It's at The Goodlife, everyone's favorite Downtown Crossing haunt.
I'll be playing the closing set, once we've all jammed to their new tracks. Proud of these guys, they've been working very hard!
Barem has been championed by Richie Hawtin, and one of the strongest players on the Minus roster, for the better part of the last decade. His slick approach to tech-house and techno has taken him around the world, and with good reason.
Artists like Barem are exactly what RISE is built for. It will be my pleasure to share the decks with him this March.
Back to The Granite State for my monthly residenct at The Red Door.
Live Free or Die!
I'm back at the Pearl of Portsmouth (AKA The Red Door) for my monthly residency.
Saucy beats all night long. Be there.
I'm back, and so is The Red Door - with a newly tuned & beefed up sound systtem! I've always loved this room, and it's like I've truly fallen in love all over again. Come out and hear why, you'll immedietely feel the difference.
Ahhhh if only evey club would place such a focus on high fidelity.
