5 hours upstairs at RISE. House, techno, and other stuff that makes you feel.
Time to get back to basics.
I love everything about Re:Set Wednesdays at the Phoenix Landing. Knowledgeable, friendly, local music heads getting down to quality electronic music. The Jaun Maclean was supposed to play tonight but had to postpone, so I'll be stepping in (alongside local homies Alan Manzi & Charles Mazzola).
The pleasure is all mine.
Great sound, strong drinks, and music that will make you dance. I love this place.
Back to New Hampshire for my monthly residency at The Red Door. This is my home away from home. Amazing sound in a little room. What more could we ask for?
Uner is one of those artists who does it for me every time. I've been buying his records for several years now, playing them at various stages of my sets. I then had the pleasure of hosting him with SoundScape at another Boston venue. I loved his set, even though the crowd & venue fell a bit short. Now we have him back in town, where he should have been in the first place - RISE. Late night, unrestrained, emotional house & techno.
As always, it's a pleasure and honor to share the decks with someone I hold in such high esteem. Let's do this!
Drop It! is an open decks concept night sponsored by Eastcoast Underground. As the guest host for the night, I will play the first hour, as well as provide insight on how I approach my DJ sets. The decks will then be opened up on a first come, first serve basis.
This is a nice opportunity for me to give back to the local community I've grown to love so dearly. Please come out and be a part of the night!

Christian Smith is a techno legend, and he's coming to RISE. Not sure if he's legit? Rest assured... just scan his bio.
Happy Halloween. >:)
DANCE FREE OR DIE
Autumnal grooves at the Granite State's gem. Love this club!
After-hours in Canada. Nuff said.
Thanks to resident Rick LaPlante for inviting me back! Stoked to get gritty with you all, laaate night.
DRK is known for throwing unapologetically crazy parties. They have killer sound (Fulcrum Acoustic) and top notch production. They don't spare when it comes to doing everything right.
I will mix a 90 minute set before the headliner (DJ Eco), from 6:30 - 8pm. Such a dope timeslot for an outdoor party! Can't wait to see where this one takes us.
Back to the booth at my old home place. There's no other club or party where I feel so comfortable. Can't wait to dive back in with you all.
This will be the official after-party for Danny Howells @ Arc. Maybe the old chap will even come over to hang for a bit!
I'm back up in Portsmouth, NH, this Saturday night for 4 more hours of deep and groovy haus musique.
Dance free or die!
Sonic Beating is a passionate family of psytrance & techno DJ/producers/artists/promoters. That wordy-description doesn't even really do them justice, as they're overall-experience professionals. One Saturday during each month of the summer, they host an outdoor party on the banks of the Charles River. The sound is always dialed in, and the crowd educated & attentive. Can't wait to be a party of this party!
I'm playing 8:45 - 10:00. Sunset baby! Buckle up...

We're throwing a day party on a roof in downtown Boston. It's going to be like that U2 video, but without Bono. Boston locals getting it done from 1pm - 10pm!
Dope, private spot. Invite only. If you ask nicely I might have some to share.
Back to the gem for Portsmouth, NH, for my monthly 4-hour engagement at The Red Door.
Dance Free or Die!
This is the 4th year the Sonic Beating crew has invited me to play for them at Figment. It is one of the gigs I look forward to most each summer. Free outdoor party, focus on creativity, exploration, child-friendly... it's great. I love having the opportunity to do something different, turn a few heads, and have some fun.
Saturday afternoon, 5pm. Mother Nature, please be kind to us!
Bass Wave is a weekly dance night each Wednesday in New Bedford. Who would have thought that NB would be hosting killer parties? Not this guy... but a lot has changed in Mass over the years, and without question, the BassWave crew holds it down week in and week out.
I'll be sharing the decks this time around with the one and only Jeff LeClair. Opening set by Tony Dispirito. Stoked to do it proper with these guize!
Arc is Boston's brand-spankin-new For-DJs-By-DJ's 10-2 nightclub. Sick sound, no VIP, no BS. Just like RISE, but with a bar.
Looking forward to breaking this baby in alongside some of Boston's favorite hausmeisters!
I'm back up for my monthly residency at The Red Door. 4 hours of deep, funky, slinky, daneable untz, mixed up fresh for your pleasure.
Dance free or die!
I played at Camp Coldbrook last year, and I must say - I was really impressed by what I found. Beautiful grounds, well over two thousand campers, and three days of amazing artistry.
I've been invited back to perform this year, this time on Sunday afternoon, 1pm, at the poolside stage.
I've got 3 words for you: Summertime House Music.
Arclite are brother Gabe & Jake Spector. They are studio BEASTS. Pros at all things production & performance.
I invited them to play with me at RISE for the Bassnectar after-party back in April of 2013, and they crushed it. Now they're inviting me onto their turf.
I've never been to NoHo before but I know it's going to be awesome. Amherst was one of my favorite stomping grounds when I was just a wee lad. Can't wait to get back out there.
Pete Bones is an underground legend, with nearly 2 decades of producing & DJing under his belt. I will be providing warm-up duties for him, alongside Kidd Drunkadelc, at Church on Weds, June 12.
Party on, Wayne. Party On, Garth.
Pride weekend in Boston is always one big party... but one thing has been missing all these years; a boat party. Finally that issue's been resolved, thanks to Envyless Productions.
Vessel is the Provincetown II. Boarding starts at 5pm, departure is 6pm SHARP. 9PM return.
Two of Boston's favorites - DJ Escape & Eddie Elias - will headline the party. I'll be playing all night in the VIP section. We'll be getting saucy. :)
Get your tickets early to save some $$ and guarantee your spot on deck.
Gay Pride at RISE is always special. Boys get wild sometimes! It's nice to have all 5 hours to myself in the lounge... stretch the wings a bit. :)
Live Free & Dance presents: Sunkissed
Soooo... I don't really play raves. I came up in that scene, but now I'm old and stuff. That said, you can't deny that the kids in today's rave scene are HUGRY, so who am I to deny them nourishment?
I'll be playing the closing set in the tech-house / techno room, 12:15 - 1:45 am. I was promised great sound, and that's all I really need to take care of business.
Pretty stoked for this one! Presale tickets here.
Forever, my favorite band was Phish. Now i'm playing in the club (Metronome) above where they got their start (Nectars). Very cool in my book!
Pete Moss is a house music stud. Not only has he been releasing tracks for well over a decade, he's a badass snowboarder and he looks like Johnny Depp. Playing with him alone will be awesome, not to mention the rest of the beasts on this flyer!
Popof is a techno / tech-house / electro / minimal beast. Tours all over the world. Tracks played by stars like Richie Hawtin, Digweed, Tiesto, Benassi... erryone loves him. It's because his tracks are funky, powerful, infectuous.
I'll be providing warm-up duties. My homie Ryan Obermiller will take you deeeeep all night in the lounge.
Werd is a SF institution. Sunday weeklies are tough in most cities, but these guys do it right. Previous guests include Subb-An, Mr. C, Lee Burridge, and countless others.
I will be sharing the decks with an old school homey from Boston's yesteryear, Maxwell Dub. Really looking forward to this one!
Avalon Hollywood is one of North America's marquee dance clubs. It's a proper big room (old theater), stacked with ridic sound, lights, decor, dancers... and top-notch global A-List talent. I've partied there several times, and even played the side room once before. This time around, I've been given the opportunity to warm things up in the main room - sweet!
Don't get me wrong, I love to bang out peaktime sets (thank you, RISE), but I also love slow-cooking a room. Laying the foundation as people filter in, morphing head-bobs into moving feet. It's an art, one that I've been fortunate to learn through observation of the masters (Howells, Ajami, Jimmy Van M) and then many years of practice. I'm thankful for the opportunity to share my sounds with arguably the best club on the west coast.
I play from 9:30 - 11:30. Show up early to get down.
Bassnectar is back in Boston, doing two nights at the House of Blues. Night two falls on a Friday (sweet!), so we'll be going all night for those who aren't quite ready to call it quits.
I've asked Arclite - brothers Jake & Gabe Specter from CT - to help me keep the party going late. These guys are studio beasts, with the live show to match. Trust me, they do it right.
People are always hyped up after something huge like Bassnectar. It's going to be a fun night.
If you're a househead, and you're looking for something to do on a Wednesday night, Re:Set is the only place to be. This weekly has been holding it down for the last two years, featuring DJ sets by guests like Maceo Plex, Solomun, Phonique, Jimpster, Doc Martin, Catz n Dogz, Justin Martin, Will Monotone, and so many others...
I'll be holding down the decks with two of New England's most esteemed veteran selectors, Ryan Obermiller & Randy "Bison" Deshaies. We're gonna flex it. Start deep, get the floor saucy, then milk it till there's none left to get or give. Oh yes oh yes oh yes.
It started with Daft Punk, The Crystal Method, and Fatboy Slim. Then came the brother's Paul... Oakenfold & Van Dyk. Soon after, though, the game really changed for me. Sasha & Digweed took my tastes to a whole new level, one far more deep & cerebral than ever before. Dark, moody, tense, trippy, hyonotic soundscapes unlike any I'd ever heard. Patient, deliberate programming, sewn together by nearly indiscernable mixes. This was the dancefloor aesthetic I truly fell in love with.
On Sunday, April 14, it will be my honor to share the booth with one of my biggest influences, John Digweed. I will play from 10:00 - 12:00, John until close at 2:00 am. Monday is a holiday (Marathon Monday), so shelf the excuses. This is going to be a great night, don't miss it.
A limited number of advance tickets remain. Pick yours up here.
Red Door, I love you. Let's do it all over again. 4 hours, no stopping till toes are curling.
From all the dancing, you pervs!
Manuel De La Mare blew up on the scene a few years back. For a while there, it seemed like every bomb progressive or tech-house track in the Beatport top 10 was produced or remixed by him. He's now solidified his place among the industry's elite, touring constantly, headlining the best clubs and festivals across the planet.
I've been asked to provide opening duties on this night, alongside Beantown favorite Bamboora. Extra bonus... Naga has just upgraded their soundstsyem to BeastMode. This will be a lot of fun. >: )
House is their passion, and luckily enough.... it's mine as well! I'm stoked to share the decks with them. Looking to make this Saturday a sloppy one.
$10 on my list before midnight: http://bit.ly/swells_list
Cover is just $10 all night on my guestlist. Come get down to Naga's new beast sound system!
I'm back for another 4 hour session at The Red Door.
$5 cover, $15,000 sound system. 'Nuff said.
Yousef is one of the electronic music artists I respect most. As a DJ and a producer, he is world class. He plays at the best clubs internationally, and the biggest DJs all play his tracks.
His sound occupies that grey area between deeper grooves, tech-house, and techno. It's moody, urgent, serious, bouncy, techy, and undeniably dancefloor-inspired. There's a reason I sweat him so much!
Check out his most recent Essential Mix, you will dig it.
It's my pleasure to welcome him to Boston for his debut gig, and to provide warm-up duties. Promotional support by SoundScape.
Every month I play a four hour set in downtown Portsmouth, NH. I have a tremendous amout of love for this little town, it's a real pleasure every time I return.
Killer sound, vibe, ambiance, and drinks, all packaged in an undeniably New England aesthetic. Dance free or die!
2013 is upon us, and I'm back with a vengeance. Let's dance.
Goodlife is one of the best lounge/clubs in Boston. Always booking dope indie/underground acts, and run by chill people.
Nightwave is a new party at Goodlife, and the cats behind it have asked me to team up with Jeff LeClair for an all-night throwdown.
I can't imagine a better way to spend a Thursday night.
